Summer 2014

I can't believe summer is over! It went by so fast! But, it was a great great summer! The kids had a great time at summer camp, loved the beach, swimming, zoo, park, and the list goes on and on!

Let's recap:

July started with the Riverton 5k, in which I came in 1st place for my age group, not bad! We then enjoyed a great parade followed by a BBQ with the kids and family! And it was very very hard not to enjoy the weather later that day, and in fact this entire summer! So beautiful!
Please notice that Mike dressed her and put her dress on backwards! Too cute!

We then went to SIC for a week with my family and everyone had a fantastic time! We had amazing weather and the kids played so well together!!

We also had a little pool here the kids loved to swim in:
We also enjoyed many days at Sally's pool.

In August we had a family wedding for Cassie, celebrated my moms birthday and went to OBX for the first time.

The kids had a fabulous summer, and so did Mike & I. We are getting ready for the kids start school this week, they will be repeating the St. Charles Pre-3 this year. They were allowed to start early last year b/c of their birthday falling so close to the deadline. . But this year they are with the right kids and so excited, as are we!

Hopefully I will post again soon with school pictures!

May/June 2014

I can't believe summer is here!!! School ended last week for the kids and they loving playing all day everyday!!!

We have had a busy month! We ended May with a food festival in Marlton.

We have done a few picnics/ nights at the River. The kids love running all around and watching the boats. They do want to fish and go swimming to though. .

We have gone to the zoo,  a Riversharks baseball game, and even strawberry picking at Johnson's farm. The weather was so nice we tried to get out every chance we could.

We went to the pop shop for the first time and the kids have been enjoying some s'mores! It has been a regular nighttime treat!

Ellie had her dance recital and did amazing! She will be continuing classes this summer, she loves it!

We also just had the St. Charles carnival this past week. It is seriously one of my favorite things! The kids love it just as much as me!

Both Mike and I were able to spend a weekend away this month, separately but kid free. He went on a golf/bachelor party to Myrtle Beach and I was able to get away to Avalon for a few days. . So nice! We also celebrated Sally's birthday!

I have still been running, but not as much as I should. I did an 8k a few weeks ago and my next run is the 4th of July.

We go down the shore for a week in July and I think it is going to be a blast! The kids can not wait to play on the beach, go fishing and play all week with their cousins!

April/May 2014

Looks like my attempt to write a monthly blog/update has failed! Things have been so busy lately I just haven't had the time! Plus the fact that time is flying by doesn't help! I can't believe next weekend is Memorial Day!!! Summer is here! I feel like it was just winter!!! So much going on here with us and the kids!

Starting in April we celebrated Julia's 1st Birthday! Se is getting so big!! The kids had a blast playing at the park and with all their cousins!

We celebrated Easter here and the kids had lots of fun on all their Easter Egg Hunts!

The kids were off the week after Easter and I took some time off too! We had so much fun going to the park and playing all day!!!

They LOVE their bikes! Ellie has even started to ride all by herself! It's amazing!!

We celebrated some birthdays and even a bridal & baby shower! Between April & May we have all had so much going on!

I ran Broad Street, and even though I didn't feel completely ready (due to this horrible winter and it being so cold!!), I actually did really well. I finished with a time of 1:20, keeping me at 8:00 minute miles, which was my goal! Brad finished his first broad street, and from the sounds of it, it will be the first of many!!

My girlfriend Lauren kicked my butt (and quite frankly everyone's butt) - she killed it at 1:14- hopefully she will allow me to continue to train with her so that one day I can be that fast!! I have a lot of upcoming runs I signed up for Scott coffee 8k, Riverton 4th of July 5k, Philly 10k, St. Charles 5k and the AC 10k- I am tired after writing all that!!

We celebrated Charlie's 3rd birthday last weekend! He is getting so big!! All of the kids are!

We also had the greatest Mother's Day last weekend! My sisters and I, along with our mom, went to Renault Winery. We had a fabulous tour, great lunch, and plenty of wine! It just might be the start of a tradition- Mother's Day at the winery every year!

We have been spending a lot of time outside with the kids! They love it!

Hopefully it won't take so long to post again!
