Month 9! (Part 1)

Since we go on vacation soon, I am going to blog about the first part of the month and probably dedicate an entire blog to the vacation - yes i think it will be that interesting! (just kidding) I actually just think I will have that many pictures!

So July started off with lots of activity! Jack and Ellie went swimming for the very first time at Uncle Brad's and Aunt Sally's! Ellie seemed to like it at first, but then fussed a little. Jack did not seem to enjoy it too much. Both lasted a little while in the pool and seemed to do pretty well!

We had a very busy 4th of July! We went to the Riverton Parade, followed by a BBQ at Granny and Pop's and ended with seeing the boat races on the river. The babies were beat at the end of the day, but were always pleasant! They met lots of new people that day! And had lots of smiles all day!

On July 6th we went to the developmental clinic for the babies 6 month follow up. The clinic is following the babies from their due date (January 6th) and stated that by age 2 the goal is for the babies to be caught up! So at this appointment, Ellie weighed 14lbs 6ozs and was 26 1/2 inches long. She is in the 25% for weight and 75% for height. Jack weighed 17lbs 9ozs and was 27 1/2 inches long. He is 50% in weight and 75-90% in height. The doctor said that both babies are doing "Awesome." They told us that at this time there is no need for a referral for early intervention. In fact, they do not believe the babies would even qualify for early intervention, which is so nice to hear. They did say that at any point early intervention could be required, but not yet.

The next weekend we had Chase's christening to attend. The babies were very well behaved for the party hanging out with all the kids! We also tried to enforce nap schedules on them, and on Saturday, they did so well! It is taking some time but we are hoping that eventually they get it! We have all different types of naps, long, short and sometime non-existent! Which makes it very hard for Mike and I!

The next weekend we headed to Katie's for an ice cream festival! The babies tried ice cream for the first time and LOVED it! Just like their mom!

The babies had a pretty good month! We hope they continue to feel better! They have been sleeping pretty well too, which helps all of us! Jack has learned how to give kisses, more of him eating your face, but it is so cute! We leave for vacation on the 23rd. We have a super busy weekend too. I will try to update the blog while I am down the shore! Hopefully we all have a great time!
