Time is really flying by. Everyone I talk to tells me how fast it goes, and it really does.

The babies had a very rough month of June (as did Mike and I). It started out with Ellie having her first ear infection at the beginning of the month and then leading to Jack having croup! We were all very sleep deprived and everyone but me was under the weather at one point!

So the first weekend of the month, the babies had their first weekend away from mom and dad. Aunt Sally and Uncle Brad watched Jack and Ellie so that Mike and I could go to a wedding in LBI for friends of ours. We had a great time and so did the babies. Unfortunately Ellie got an ear infection that Friday, so her first time being on anti-biotics and being sick, she spent with Aunt Sally and Uncle Brad. However, we were told they were so good and Ellie was very happy, despite being a little under the weather.

The following weekend we had cousin Cole's baptism, which was also a very nice day! The babies were very well behaved at church and the party after.
Ellie kept fighting the ear infection/congestion for the rest of that week and into the following weekend. We ended up taking her back to the doctor about 2 weeks later, where thankfully her ear infection was gone, but she had a bad cold. Lots of congestion and a nasty cough. She kept Mike and I up for almost a whole week! You really take sleeping through the night for granted! Even one night of interrupted sleep is hard! The babies were weighed at this appointment on June 14th and Ellie weighed 13lbs 13ozs and Jack weighed 17lbs 1oz. He is almost 3.5lbs heavier than Ellie- it is amazing! Jack has a little exzema on the back of his knee that we are treating with some cream, but it does not bother him, which is good.

A few short days later we had to take Jack to the ER (the new Virtua pediatric ER) because he was having trouble breathing and coughing really bad. He was diagnosed with croup and given some breathing treatment and steriods. He immediately sounded and looked better when we were discharged from the ER about 4 hours later! Talk about spending a night in the ER. On a side note the ER was very nice. The new hospital is HUGE! Hopefully we will not have to go back there again!

Jack was sick for about 2 weeks with croup that turned into a nasty virus, lots of congestion which lead to more sleepless nights. I swear I felt like it was January all over again!

Since none of us were sleeping Aunt Sally and Uncle Brad offered to take the babies one night so we could catch up! It was a wonderful night of sleep! Mike and I even went to the diner the next morning and enjoyed a great breakfast--something we never get to do! That Saturday night we went to a cocktail party at the Riverton Yacht Club and Granny watched the kids. They were slowly getting better and starting to sleep some more...Jack did wake up that night at 4am, so we only got some sleep!

We had a nice BBQ over Granny and Pop's that weekend too. The kids loved hanging outside! They really are such good babies!

We have our first family vacation in July down in Sea Isle- we are all very excited and anxious!
