May 2013

I can not believe how fast this month has been! It is already May 20! Where did the month go? We started off this month with Mike away for a well deserved boys golf weekend! The kids and I went to Ocean City for Stroll for Cole - a walk to raise money for Cystic Fibrosis. We had a great time and the kids were so good- I can not wait for our week down the shore in July- it will be so much fun this year!

I actually am in the middle of my own Bikram Yoga challenge. Bikram is 90 minutes long and consists of 26 different poses done in a room that is over 100 degrees. The real challenge is 30 classes in 30 days- but I thought that I would be setting myself up for failure if I tried for that- so I just modified it to fit my needs. I am doing 5 classes per week- Monday-Friday with the weekends off. I am just starting week 3 and so far I am really enjoying it. It is very time consuming- 90 minutes is long! I have been going to a few 6am classes too- which is way before I usually get up! I am hopeful that I will be able to complete this challenge by next week!  I also signed up for a 6k run on June 1 so I am trying to run on the weekends- so far I have only ran 2x- so not going so well!

The second weekend of May we celebrated Charlie's 2nd birthday. We had a great time! I could have eaten the entire Ice Cream Cake- it was amazing! Julia is getting so big too! I can't believe she is already 6 weeks!!

For Mother's Day we spent the morning at the Zoo and had a BBQ later in the day. The kids love the zoo! Since we are members we got there before the crowd and were able see so much before it got crowded. We are looking forward to spending more time there this summer.

We also have a new babysitter for the kids Wednesday - Friday, so no more daycare. So far it is working out great! The kids have been enjoying themselves exploring our new yard and neighborhood! We did have a play date with a friend from school, Rylee, on Saturday and it was so fun! Looking forward to many more!

Ellie is doing really well with the potty training! Jack is attempting but so far he has yet to go-hoping in time it just happens!

I can't believe next weekend is Memorial Day! Hoping for some nice weather so we can spend some time outside!
