Happy Valentine's Day!
The kids continue to do well. Ellie is full out walking! Jack continues to cruise on the furniture, but has also started to be brave and has taken a bunch of independent steps! We took them to stride rite the other day so they could get their first pair of shoes! Both babies were really good and I think like the new shoes.
Ellie and Jack continue to amaze us with all the new things they are doing. Ellie is obsessed with picking out the lint in her toes when she takes her socks off. It is the cutest thing!
The babies love looking out the window! (and banging on it!) Jack loved looking out the window at the snow.
Both Jack & Ellie are talking up a storm. Most of the time it is "baby talk" or as Mike calls it Ellie is speaking Swahili - because she is literally having a conversation in a language we can not understand.
The Developmental Clinic appointment from January was cancelled because the Doctor was sick. We have rescheduled for next Friday. I am hoping for good news, but am anxious at the same time. The Pediatrician indicates that both kids are doing great. So I am going to go with that! We are off the daytime bottle but since we are battling constant colds we are still doing the evening bottle. The Pediatrician indicates that we must be off the bottle completely by 18 months, so that is my goal (2 months till no bottles, but hopefully sooner). The babies go all day on cups, but at night Ellie gets a Pedisure and Jack gets 8ozs of Milk - both in a bottle. I asked if we could discontinue the Pedisure, but the doctor said No, since Ellie is still underweight - barely on the chart - i think 3%. So that is the latest struggle.
Daycare is going well too! The babies seem to be enjoying it and have stopped crying when we drop them off. It makes it so much easier on everyone. Even though they are only going 2 days a week (and not even long days) they are always battling a cold! I know I need to accept this as how it is going to be until Spring.
I was able to get away for a weekend with my sisters in Florida. We had the best time! I was totally relaxed and can not wait to go back!
