March 2014

March has flown by!! I am a few days late- again!!! So many birthdays to celebrate and so much going on!!!

The kids got full size beds this month! They love having so much more room and have been sleeping so well!!! The beds are super comfortable too!

Mike & I were able to get away for the night in Philly. We did a Segway tour of the city which was really fun!!! We then went out with some friends to celebrate our birthdays!!

The kids are super excited for Spring! They love playing outside with their new bikes and toys!!

We had a visit to the ER this month. Ellie fell pretty hard and hit her chin- but thankfully she didn't need stitches and is all better now! She was such a good patient!

Ellie has a dance recital coming up in the beginning of June. Her costume came in this month and its adorable! She is really enjoying herself! I can't wait for the show!

Ellie has been letting me practice new styles on her hair! I can not wait for it to be longer and thicker!! It's so fine and hard to do!!

Jack really enjoys reading the Sunday paper! Haha! He is too cute!

Both kids are swimming again and love it! They actually have a friend in this class from school, so that's fun! The kids went bowling for the first time this weekend and loved it! Looking forward to doing it again!

I am beginning my training for broad street next month. I feel very unprepared! Hoping this month of running makes me feel ready!

February 2014

So I am a little late in posting for February. We had a very busy month. So many things going on for all of us. Dinner with friends, housewarming party, baby shower, christening, trip to Florida for me, dance classes, swimming lessons, mini bedroom makeover, more snow days, and finally a new tenant in our townhouse! Talk about a busy busy month!

So every Saturday the kids have been taking swimming lessons. They LOVE the water! I think they are definitely getting really used to swimming and hoping by summer they will be pretty good in the water! (Wishful thinking I know)

We had many fun days in the snow! I can not complain about the snow since I have had off for almost every storm, so I have been lucky to spend the days home with the kids!! It also has allowed us to watch more and more Disney movies!!! We are hooked on the Lion King right now (thanks Aunt Katie), and super excited for Frozen coming out on 3/18!!!

I took the kids to the discovery museum on our day off, and we had a blast!!
I was super lucky to be able to go to Fort Lauderdale this month to spend some time with family and just relax! Mike and the kids stayed here while I spent my time in the sunshine!! Lots of quiet and relaxing!!!

It is so hard being back in this cold weather, but thankful for another day off today!! The kids have had a lot of fun times this month with their cousins! Looking forward to many more!!! They all play so well together (and make the biggest messes too!!!)

Mike and I were able to spend Valentines day together too! I think we had more than one event on the calendar every weekend!!

March is going to be just as busy with both Mike & I celebrating a birthday. I will be turning 35, and having some difficulty with that age. . I don't really know why, but I am!

Hoping next month brings in the warmer weather and more time outside, not freezing!!!

January 2014

Nothing like waiting till the last day of the month to post my blog!!! I can not believe January is already over! Well happy belated new year!!!

So the kids and I had a great Christmas vacation! None of us wanted to go back to work/school! It was so nice being off 2+ weeks!!!

The kids (and Mike) love being outside in the snow! It has been great with all the snow we have been getting! The only reason they come inside is because they are freezing!!!

We also have been baking- ALOT!!! Not much to do when it's so cold outside!!

Ellie loves getting her nails done!!- thanks to Aunt Sally for the Christmas present!! She is always asking me to paint her nails.
I am so bad at painting nails, and 3 year olds don't understand the concept of "wet" nails!! So it is a trying process!!

The kids are really starting to play well together! Don't get me wrong we have fighting too, but we also have some great moments of playing together!!

Cold days also call for fun bubble baths!!!!

We had a birthday party this month for a friend at "my little adventures."  The kids had a great time!!

We love having play dates with our neighbors!! Even though the kids are a little older they play really well together!!

We have probably colored more this month than any month prior!!!

Ellie started dance class this month. She loves it!! She twirls and spins all around! They even have a recital in May- I am really interested to see how that goes. She is in a class of 3 year olds. . So really not sure how they will have any kind "dance."

Both kids are doing swimming again this session. They love being in the water!! It is so cute to watch!

We ended the month with a fabulous brunch! Lots of tasty foods!!

Hopefully next month I don't wait till the end!!! We have a lots of things coming up too.

December 2013

I did it! I was able to post every month this year! I will hopefully be able to keep this up for next year too! What a year, let alone a month!! We did so many things!!!! This post will mostly be full of pictures!!!

We ended November with Thanksgiving over Sally's house. Turkey, Turkey.

Lots of cousins to play with!!

We then went to see Sophia & Jake, our first show! Both kids loved it!

Jack had a number of doctor appointments and eye surgery this month. We are extremely fortunate that he is doing so well! We won't find out until the end of January if the surgery was successful. He was such a great patient! He was rewarded with a Friendly's sundae!
On our way home from surgery. He received a fruit basket (thanks tiki!) and some planes pjs and Dusty the plane (thanks aunt Katie) and of course Planes the movie!!!
We had lots of Christmas activities this month, multiple visits to Santa, baking cookies with Mim, lots of dressing up, and of course parties!!!

The kids were great at helping to decorate too!!

They also love, love, love the snow!!! Jack loves to throw it.
And of course Christmas!!! We all had such a wonderful day!!
Looking forward to another wonderful year!!!
